About Howden Research
Howden Research is an independent, student-led research firm producing original analysis across finance, economics and STEM.
We are now expanding our audience and external relationships and are looking for a Marketing & Outreach Analyst to help develop Howden's reach and build relationships with relevant individuals, organisations and institutions.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone interested in the intersection of research, marketing, communications and business development.
You will help ensure that strong research does not simply get published, but reaches the right audience.
Responsibilities
- Developing ideas for growing Howden Research's audience
- Identifying relevant organisations, academics, professionals and communities
- Supporting outreach campaigns
- Researching potential partnerships and collaborations
- Developing and testing content distribution strategies
- Supporting LinkedIn and other social media activity
- Tracking engagement and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Helping communicate Howden's research to external audiences
- Contributing ideas for campaigns, initiatives and partnerships

What We Are Looking For
You do not need to be studying marketing.
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong written communication
- Commercial awareness
- Creativity and initiative
- An understanding of social media and digital communication
- Strong research and organisational skills
- Confidence communicating with external stakeholders
- The ability to work independently
- An interest in finance, economics, research, media or technology
Experience with LinkedIn, content marketing, outreach, student societies, journalism or business development is useful but not essential.

Commitment
Approximately 2–3 hours per week, with flexibility around university commitments.
This is an unpaid, part-time position.
