The platform operates at the intersection of fashion, culture, craftsmanship, and storytelling, highlighting independent African brands and their creative narratives. ITURA Afrique focuses on building immersive retail experiences that celebrate modern African aesthetics and design innovation. Through its collaborations and curated collections, the platform connects design-conscious clients worldwide with distinctive African brands.


Role Description

This Content and Social Media Intern role is an internship position based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The intern will support day-to-day content creation for social media platforms, including drafting posts, captions, and storytelling-driven campaigns aligned with ITURA Afrique’s brand voice.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with web content writing
  • Updating content on digital platforms
  • Organizing assets
  • Supporting content management across channels

The intern will help monitor social media engagement, track basic performance metrics, and research trends related to contemporary African fashion, culture, and design. Collaboration with the team to brainstorm content ideas and coordinate timelines for campaigns will be a key part of this role.


Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including clear written and interpersonal communication.
  • Web Content Writing and Writing skills for digital platforms and social media.
  • Ability to contribute to Content Strategy and support Content Management workflows.
  • Interest in fashion, culture, and contemporary African design; prior social media experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and basic analytics tools.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid work environment.
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Communications, Marketing, Media, Design, or a related field is beneficial.
