Content Assistant

Layrd is growing its marketing team, and we’re looking for a creative and ambitious Content Assistant to work alongside our existing Marketing team. This is a hands-on, content-first role focused primarily on social media, content creation, storytelling and building the visibility of our businesses.

The role will support three companies within our group. Each business has its own audience, personality and commercial goals, giving you the opportunity to work across three distinct brands while helping us build a consistent, high-quality marketing output across the group.

You’ll work closely with our Marketing Executive, our Leadership Team, Designers and wider commercial team to capture what is happening across the businesses and turn projects, people, ideas, events and launches into engaging content.

A typical week might include:

  • Create, schedule and publish engaging content across LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant social channels for all three companies.
  • Produce short-form video, reels and social-first content, including behind-the-scenes footage from projects, events and the studio.
  • Visit live projects, completed spaces, events and installations to capture photography, video and stories as they happen.
  • Turn project updates, new wins, launches and business activity into engaging social posts, case studies and website content.
  • Interview designers, clients, partners and team members to uncover stories and create people-led content.
  • Support photography and video shoots, including planning, shot lists, coordination and content repurposing.
  • Create simple graphics, social assets, presentations and branded content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
  • Support website updates, blogs, news stories, email campaigns and newsletters.
  • Help build the personal profiles of key people within the businesses through thought-leadership and social content.
  • Research trends and topical conversations across sport, stadia, hospitality, fitness, wellness, leisure, design and the markets relevant to our businesses.
  • Maintain forward-looking content calendars across all three companies, ensuring each brand receives consistent marketing attention.
  • Monitor social performance and engagement, identifying which formats, subjects and campaigns are working.
  • Work with the team to support campaigns around partnerships, events, project launches, awards and wider brand activity.
  • Find ways to turn one project, event or idea into multiple useful pieces of content across different channels and brands.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Creative, curious and naturally interested in content and social media.
  • A strong communicator who can write clear, engaging and accurate copy.
  • Comfortable creating high-quality content on a phone as well as working with professional photography and video.
  • Confident with LinkedIn, Instagram and short-form video formats for B2B content.
  • Visually aware, with a good eye for design, composition and brand consistency.
  • Proactive and able to spot a story or content opportunity without always being directed.
  • Comfortable approaching people, asking questions and capturing authentic content.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple brands, content calendars, deadlines and priorities.
