About the Role
You will join Imaging Services within the Bodleian Libraries, which provides digital imaging services for material from the Libraries’ collections, supporting research as well as project and customer orders for the local and international community.
You will play a key role in ingesting digital content created by Imaging Services into Portfolio, its Digital Asset Management System. Working with images of rare books and manuscripts, maps and modern archival material, you will audit and assess images and their technical metadata, undertake any necessary image renaming or processing, and use digitisation workflow tools to ingest images and metadata into the repository.
This is a fixed-term post for 18 months, working part time for 21 hours per week ( 0.5753 FTE). The anticipated working pattern is across three days, with the exact hours and days to be agreed.
About You
You will be highly computer literate, with experience of common software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat, together with the ability to learn specialist software quickly. You will have experience of entering, updating and managing data where consistent formatting and classification rules apply, and excellent attention to detail, particularly when carrying out accurate and efficient data entry.
