Who is Red Flag Alert?
Red Flag Alert is a Manchester-based business intelligence and risk platform. We hold live data on every UK company and use it to tell our clients three things: who to sell to, who to onboard, and who is about to fail. Our insolvency prediction, company credit, KYB, AML screening and identity verification products are used by businesses that cannot afford to be wrong about who they do business with.
Clients include Kier, Huws Gray and Stark in construction, Close Brothers, Santander and iwoca in financial services, RSM, AAB and Sedulo in accountancy, and DWF and Kennedys in legal.
The business is scaling fast, and marketing is being built from the ground up around that: new leadership, a market-leading product, and a blank sheet to build the engine that turns real demand into pipeline. This role joins at the start of that build, not at the end of it.
The Role
This role brings our content and campaigns output together under one person, in-house and full-time — replacing what used to be split across a Campaigns Manager and a freelance copywriter. One person orchestrating output beats two half-time specialists who each own a slice.
You'll own the always-on content calendar, write or commission the copy across every campaign and channel, and run our webinar programme and newsletter — working daily with Design and taking the targets and briefs from our Marketing Operations Manager and turning them into campaigns that actually land.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
No direct reports today, but this is a role we expect to grow a team around as the function scales — plenty of room to build that out with the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Content calendar — own the always-on content calendar: thought leadership, guides and reports, planned around what our audience actually cares about.
- Reactive content — own reactive “newsjack” content when relevant legislation or market events break, turning it around fast while it's still relevant.
- Webinar programme — plan, run and promote our webinar programme end-to-end, from topic and speakers through to follow-up.
- Newsletter — own the newsletter, from content and copy through to send.
- Copywriting — write or commission the copy across content, campaigns and web, and work daily with Design to get it into market.
- Campaign delivery — take the targets, lists and briefs from Marketing Operations and turn them into finished, multi-channel campaigns.
- Brand & messaging — keep tone of voice and messaging consistent across every piece of content and every campaign.
- Reporting — track how content and campaigns perform, and feed what's working back into planning.
Who We Are Looking For
- Strong, versatile B2B writing ability — comfortable across thought leadership, guides, reports and fast-turnaround reactive content.
- Experience running an always-on content calendar while still being able to react fast when something in the market changes.
- Proven campaign management experience — planned and delivered multi-channel campaigns before, not just contributed to them.
- Has run a webinar programme and an email newsletter end-to-end, not just supported one.
- Comfortable working daily alongside a Design team — briefing, reviewing and iterating quickly.
- A nose for a story — you can spot when a regulatory or market change is worth a fast reactive piece.
- Comfortable using AI tools day to day — for research, first drafts, repurposing and speeding up production — so you can scale output without dropping quality; you still bring the judgement and the polish.
- Excellent attention to detail — this role is what turns Marketing Ops' data and targets into something people actually read.
