About us:
Who is GBM Group I hear you ask? Well, you probably already know who we are, without realising it!
We own and operate a network of highly-engaged youth communities on social media. We have numerous pages including Great British Memes, That Girl Page, That Student Page and MORE, which across all social channels reach over 500 million every month. The vast majority of our social following also comes from within our home market - the UK.
At GBM, we take pride in what we do and make sure the client's needs are met while considering the needs and wants of our nurtured communities/audiences. All campaigns have a lot of care and attention to detail with nothing going live unless the GBM team are 100% happy with everything.
So to sum it up for ya, we are a young start-up who are chronically online making organic and paid memes and video content for the masses…

Job Description
The role:
We’re looking for an experienced Content Creator who lives and breathes social storytelling. Someone who can take an idea from a spark in a brainstorm all the way through to filming, editing, publishing and community management.
This is an internal role that will sit directly across both our Editorial and Creative teams, working across organic and branded content. You’ll play a hands-on role in creating content for our 18 editorial pages, as well as supporting the branded content we produce for our clients.
You’ll be involved in the entire content creation process, from ideation and developing social-first concepts, through to production, filming, editing, posting and community management and sourcing organic content for our pages. You’ll work across both short-form and long-form content.
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in social content creation, with experience across video production, filming and editing, social media management and process, alongside a good understanding of low-fi graphic design and wider social formats. With a minimum of 2/3 years experience working in-house, agency-side or within a publisher environment.
You’ll work closely with both the Editorial and Creative teams to develop and deliver content across our owned pages and branded partnerships. This could mean coming up with a TikTok series for one of our editorial channels one day, filming content for a client campaign the next, or editing a longer-form piece of content for one of our platforms. Taking ownership of a project from initial idea through to final delivery, while also jumping in to support the wider team when needed.
The role is highly hands-on and execution-focused. You’ll be expected to confidently ideate, write, shoot, produce, edit, publish and community manage content, while understanding how each stage contributes to the overall performance of a piece of content.
Alongside being a whizz behind the camera this role will also require you to be in front of the camera, whether that be hosting a vox pop, press junket interviews or starring in branded content. You’ll also support the development and production of branded content, working alongside the Creative team to bring client ideas and campaigns to life. From helping shape concepts and pitches to attending shoots, creating assets and delivering final edits, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the full creative process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
