We Generate is looking for a Social-First Content Creator
We Generate is looking for a social-first Content Creator to work across our editorial Instagram platforms, including Made In Poor Taste (1.2m followers) and Made In Her Taste, as well as selected branded campaigns.
First and foremost, we’re looking for someone who knows how to spot great content. You’ll spend a large part of your time finding emerging stories, videos and social trends before they reach every other page, then turning them into content that feels unmistakably right for our audiences.
You’ll need a strong understanding of British humour, internet culture and what makes people stop, share, tag their friends and join the conversation. You should understand the difference between simply reposting something and giving it a new angle, headline or treatment that makes it feel native to Made In Poor Taste or Made In Her Taste.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused position. Alongside sourcing and publishing content, you’ll help develop new ideas and repeatable formats for the pages, film and edit social-first videos, appear on camera and occasionally take content into the real world by working with members of the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Find emerging social content, stories and trends quickly, before they become widely covered by other pages.
- Understand which content is right for Made In Poor Taste, Made In Her Taste or neither.
- Reframe stories and videos with original headlines, captions, commentary and creative treatments that match each page’s tone.
- Monitor TikTok, Instagram, X, Reddit, publishers and other online communities for reactive opportunities.
- Create memes, videos, carousels and other platform-native social content.
- Develop original ideas and recurring formats that can become recognisable parts of the pages.
- Take ideas from concept through to production, editing and publishing.
- Film both quick, low-fi content and more structured social shoots.
- Appear on camera and contribute confidently to presenter-led content.
- Take part in street interviews, public challenges and other real-world formats.
- Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Write scripts, captions, hooks and on-screen copy in the appropriate brand voice.
- Support branded campaigns without losing the natural tone that makes the editorial pages successful.
- Publish content and help manage audience responses and community conversations.
- Review performance data to understand what worked and apply those learnings to future content.
- Manage multiple daily deadlines in a fast-moving editorial environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
