Content Creator Apprentice (Level 3)

Full-time | 13-Month Apprenticeship

Start your career in content creation, social media and digital storytelling.

Basecamp Talent is partnering with a fast-growing Manchester-based PR and media agency to hire a Content Creator Apprentice to join their creative team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about social media, storytelling and digital culture and wants to turn that interest into a career.

You won’t just be “posting content.” You’ll learn how modern brands create engaging social content, build online communities and grow audiences across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Working alongside experienced marketers, creatives and content producers, you’ll gain hands-on experience across content creation, videography, social media, podcasts, campaigns and brand storytelling while completing your Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship.

No formal experience is required, just creativity, curiosity and a willingness to learn.

What you’ll be doing

Content creation & storytelling

  • Creating short-form content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts
  • Supporting the development of creative ideas, scripts and content concepts
  • Writing captions and adapting tone of voice for different audiences and platforms
  • Helping turn briefs into engaging, audience-focused content

Video, editing & production

  • Capturing and editing content using tools like CapCut, Canva or similar platforms
  • Repurposing podcasts, events and long-form content into short-form social assets
  • Supporting filming days, content shoots and behind-the-scenes production
  • Organising and preparing media assets for use across channels

Social media & campaigns

  • Supporting content planning across campaigns and client projects
  • Researching trends, formats and audience behaviour to inspire new ideas
  • Assisting with content calendars, scheduling and publishing
  • Learning how content supports wider marketing and business goals

Performance & optimisation

  • Monitoring how content performs across social platforms
  • Supporting basic reporting on engagement, reach and audience growth
  • Learning how to use insights and analytics to improve future content

Collaboration & development

  • Working closely with marketing, social and creative teams
  • Supporting projects across multiple brands and campaigns
  • Learning professional production and content workflows
  • Completing your Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship alongside hands-on experience

What we’re looking for

You don’t need previous experience, attitude, creativity and willingness to learn matter most.

  • Enjoy being creative and coming up with ideas
  • Naturally notice trends, creators and engaging online content
  • Are curious about what makes content perform well
  • Enjoy learning new tools, platforms and skills
  • Are organised, proactive and willing to take initiative
  • Are open to feedback and keen to improve

Bonus points if you:

  • Have used tools like CapCut, Canva or mobile editing apps
  • Already create content in your own time (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, photography, edits, etc.)
  • Have an interest in videography, podcasts, PR or social media marketing
