Content Creator Apprentice (Level 3)

Full-time | Level 3 Apprenticeship

📍 Knowsley, Merseyside
🏢 On-site, 5 days per week

Basecamp Talent is partnering with a well-established childcare and nursery provider based in Knowsley to hire a Content Creator Apprentice to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves social media, enjoys being creative and has a genuine passion for childcare and early years education.

You'll help bring the nursery's personality to life through engaging social content, capturing everything from day-to-day activities and special events to the people and experiences that make the setting special. You'll gain hands-on experience creating content for real audiences, building an online presence and learning how social media can help a business connect with parents, families and its local community, all while completing your Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship.

The business is a childcare and nursery provider based in Knowsley, dedicated to creating a welcoming, nurturing and engaging environment where young children can learn, play and develop.

With a strong focus on early years development, the team is passionate about supporting children and their families throughout some of the most important stages of their lives.

They're now looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to help showcase the fantastic work happening across the nursery through social media and digital content.

This is a brilliant opportunity to combine an interest in content creation with a passion for childcare, helping tell the stories that matter to parents, families and the wider community.

What you'll be doing

Content creation & storytelling

  • Creating engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Capturing day-to-day nursery life, activities, events and special moments, following safeguarding and consent procedures
  • Coming up with creative ideas to showcase the nursery's environment, team and approach to childcare
  • Writing engaging captions and creating content that connects with parents and prospective families
  • Helping communicate the nursery's personality, values and community through digital storytelling

Video, photography & editing

  • Taking photos and filming short-form videos to support social media content
  • Editing videos and images using tools such as Canva, CapCut or similar platforms
  • Creating engaging Reels, short-form videos and visual content
  • Supporting the creation of promotional materials for nursery events and activities
  • Organising and managing digital content and media assets securely

Social media & marketing

  • Supporting the planning and management of social media content calendars
  • Researching relevant social media trends and creative content ideas
  • Helping grow the nursery's online presence and engagement with local families
  • Supporting campaigns to promote nursery places, events and initiatives
  • Learning how social media and content creation can support the wider business

Performance & development

  • Monitoring engagement, reach and performance across social media channels
  • Learning how to use insights to improve future content
  • Exploring new creative formats and ways to engage audiences
  • Developing your skills in photography, videography, editing and digital marketing
  • Completing your Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship alongside practical experience

What we're looking for

You don't need previous professional experience in content creation. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, creativity and enthusiasm to learn.

You could be a great fit if you:

  • Have a genuine passion for childcare, early years education and working within a nursery environment
  • Are interested in social media, content creation and digital storytelling
  • Enjoy being creative and coming up with fresh ideas
  • Feel comfortable working in a busy, lively environment surrounded by children and nursery staff
  • Have a friendly, positive and enthusiastic personality
  • Are organised, proactive and happy to take initiative
  • Have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Are willing to learn new tools, platforms and creative skills
  • Understand the importance of professionalism, safeguarding and confidentiality when working in a childcare setting
  • Are happy to work on-site in Knowsley five days per week

Bonus points if you:

  • Have used tools such as Canva, CapCut or other editing apps
  • Already enjoy creating your own social media content, photography or videos
  • Have previous experience or an interest in childcare, nurseries or early years education
  • Hold a driving licence and have access to a car, although this is not essential

Important: As this role involves working within a childcare environment, the successful candidate will be required to complete the appropriate DBS and safeguarding checks.

About the apprenticeship

Alongside your day-to-day role, you'll complete a Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship, combining practical workplace experience with structured learning and support from a dedicated training provider.

You'll develop skills across content planning, creation, editing, digital platforms, audience engagement and performance analysis.

This is an opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining a recognised qualification and valuable industry experience.
