Freelance Creative & Content Creator (London)
J. Adams & Co. is a British lighting brand designing and manufacturing decorative lighting from our London studio and Birmingham factory.
We’re looking for a talented Freelance Creative & Content Creator to help us develop fresh ideas, create beautiful content and bring more energy and consistency to how we tell our story.
Above all, we’re looking for someone with a great eye - someone who is excited by design, interiors and culture, and can think creatively about how a design brand can communicate.
The role
Working closely with our team, you’ll develop creative concepts and turn them into engaging content - from new products and interiors to the people, processes and craftsmanship behind the brand.
One week that might mean developing and shooting a new social concept; another could involve travelling to our Birmingham factory and finding an interesting way to tell the story of how something is made.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll be involved in:
- Developing original ideas, concepts and recurring formats for our social channels
- Creating beautiful photography and short-form video
- Shooting and editing Reels and other video content
- Finding interesting ways to tell stories around our products, processes and people

About you
