Role Description
This remote contract role focuses on creating clear, engaging content on SEO topics for Search Engine Watch. The Content Creator will research industry trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, and turn them into articles, guides, and thought leadership pieces tailored to search professionals.

- Drafting and revising SEO-focused content
- Collaborating with editors on topics and angles
- Aligning pieces with audience needs and editorial standards
- Optimizing content for search
- Incorporating data and examples
- Meeting agreed deadlines for deliverables
Qualifications
- Strong SEO knowledge, including on-page optimization, keyword research, and familiarity with search engine ranking factors.
- Demonstrated experience creating digital content on marketing or SEO topics, such as articles, blog posts, or guides.
- Ability to research complex search and AI-related developments and translate them into accessible, accurate content.
- Solid writing and editing skills, with attention to structure, clarity, grammar, and audience-appropriate tone.
- Comfort working with analytics or SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, major keyword tools) to inform content.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines reliably.
- Excellent written communication skills in en_US; experience writing for a professional or technical audience is an advantage.
- Previous work in digital marketing, search, or content publishing, and a strong interest in AI-driven changes in search, is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
