About Us

Nestled in the beautiful hills of Glossop, Reuben's Retreat is a place where families can make memories, build connections, find support and feel understood during some of life's most challenging moments.
We support families of children who face uncertain futures, as well as families who have experienced the loss of a child. Through memory making experiences, inclusive activities, counselling, holistic therapies and family support, we strive to ensure every family feels valued, supported and cared for.
As Reuben's Retreat enters an exciting new chapter of growth, including plans to introduce family apartment stays as part of our expanding support services, we are seeking an experienced and creative storyteller who is passionate about making a difference.
Combining creativity with purpose, you will bring our mission to life through powerful content that connects with families, supporters and donors alike. You will understand how storytelling can inspire action, build communities and deliver measurable impact, helping us reach more people than ever before.

Help Us Tell Stories That Change Lives

At Reuben's Retreat, every story matters.
We're looking for a passionate, creative and driven Content Creator & Social Media Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on creating meaningful content and wants to use their talents to make a genuine difference to the lives of families who have experienced the loss of a child or are caring for a child living with medical complexity.

Working closely with our General Manager, you will shape how Reuben's Retreat connects with beneficiary families, supporters, donors, fundraisers and the wider community. Through compelling storytelling, engaging social content and innovative campaign creation, you'll help raise awareness, inspire support and showcase the life-changing impact of our work.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how social media works and has the creativity, confidence and initiative to take ideas from concept through to filming, editing, publishing and performance analysis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
