We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Creator & Video Editor Intern to join our team for a six-month internship. This opportunity is designed for a current university student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in content creation, video production, social media and digital marketing within a professional environment.
The internship requires a commitment of 20 hours per week for six months and is unpaid. It can be undertaken as a credit-bearing university placement, subject to approval by the candidate's university.
About the Role
As a Content Creator & Video Editor Intern, you will support the development and production of engaging digital content across our social media and marketing channels. You will work across the content creation process - from developing ideas and identifying trends to filming, editing and producing final content. A key part of the role will be creating content for Instagram and TikTok, so we are looking for someone who understands how audiences consume short-form content and can translate ideas into engaging, high-quality videos.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, film and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other digital platforms
- Develop creative concepts and contribute ideas for social media campaigns
- Edit video content using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly tools such as Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Create branded graphics, social media assets and other visual content using Canva
- Adapt content for different social platforms, formats and audiences
- Research social media trends and identify opportunities to incorporate relevant trends into our content
- Support the planning and management of the social media content calendar
- Maintain consistency across branding, visual identity and tone of voice
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to transform business and marketing ideas into engaging content
- Explore and implement AI tools to improve content creation, ideation, editing and creative workflows
- Review content carefully before publication to ensure a high standard of accuracy and presentation

About You
We are looking for someone who is creative, curious and genuinely interested in digital content. You should:
- Be a current university student or recent graduate
- Have experience creating content for Instagram and/or TikTok
- Have video editing experience and a good understanding of short-form video
- Be comfortable using Canva
- Have experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly video and creative applications
- Understand social media trends, hooks, storytelling, pacing and audience engagement
- Be comfortable using or learning AI-powered creative tools
- Have strong attention to detail
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be organised and able to manage multiple pieces of content and deadlines
- Be proactive and confident contributing your own creative ideas

Previous professional experience is not essential. Relevant university projects, personal social media accounts, freelance projects, society work or your own creative portfolio can all demonstrate your experience.
