About Varley Clothing

Varley is a contemporary fashion brand for the modern woman. Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife Lara and Ben Mead, we are an international, family-run business headquartered between London, Los Angeles, and New York.

We create year-round collections designed to build an elevated wardrobe for how women live and move. From knitwear and outerwear to everyday staples and active pieces, our collections blend style, function, and versatility.

Varley exists to instil quiet confidence through meaningful connections that enhance everything women already are. As women’s lives evolve, so do we.

Our international family-run team is 85% female, making us proud to be a brand for women, by women. We are guided by two core beliefs: the pursuit of quality in everything we do and looking after one another.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly accomplished Content Creator / Videographer to join Varley on a three-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on role for someone with significant experience creating high-quality content within fashion. You will be confident across the full content process, from interpreting a top-line brief and shaping the creative approach through to shooting, directing, editing and final delivery.

Video will sit at the heart of the role. You will have strong technical knowledge across cameras, lenses, lighting, audio and editing, alongside a highly developed visual eye and a strong understanding of fashion, social content and contemporary brand storytelling.

Working closely with our Brand, Creative and Social teams, you will create content across social-first storytelling, campaign shoots, behind-the-scenes, founder and team content, product stories, interviews, events, retail and internal communications.

We are looking for someone dynamic, self-sufficient, and creatively confident who can recognise a strong story, understand the best way to capture it and execute it to an exceptional standard.

You will create, capture, and edit high-quality video and supporting imagery across Varley’s social, brand and internal platforms, working across studio, location, retail, travel, events, and campaign environments.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will take top-line briefs from Brand, Creative and Social and translate them into clear and engaging content approaches, bringing your own ideas, experience, and recommendations to the process.

You will work closely with the Brand Social Media Manager and Creative team to ensure content feels socially relevant while remaining consistently aligned with Varley’s wider visual identity.

You will capture a broad range of content including campaign and behind-the-scenes footage, product and styling stories, fittings, interviews, founder content, store activations, internal storytelling and more documentary-led moments.

You will be confident working with models, founders, employees and external talent, creating an environment in which people feel comfortable on camera. Where required, you will help structure interviews and formulate questions that result in natural and engaging content.

You will own the post-production of the content you capture, including editing, audio, colour, pacing, graphics, captions and delivery across different social and digital formats.

You will also advise on the most appropriate cameras, audio, lighting, and equipment for different projects and help maintain a high technical standard across our in-house content production.

Key Skills & Experience / The Ideal Candidate

You will have significant professional experience producing content for established fashion, luxury, lifestyle or similarly elevated consumer brands.

You will have a strong portfolio demonstrating an exceptional standard of videography, editing and storytelling, with clear evidence of work you have personally shot, directed and edited.

You will be highly skilled across professional camera systems and editing software and confident working with lighting and audio in both controlled and fast-moving environments.

You will have a strong understanding of short-form and social-first content, alongside the ability to create more considered brand and documentary-style storytelling.

You will understand fashion brand nuance and how to balance creative ambition, commercial requirements and social relevance without compromising the identity of the brand.
