I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

An open communication style – being able to contribute to meetings and form trusting relationships will be expected. Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design magazine features, profiles and associated pages and assets; to the best quality attainable based on the assets provided/sourced; on time; without error; utilising page hierarchy, story-telling imagery; for the audiences; and platforms associated with your Brand.
  • Prepare and publish magazines (and supplements) associated with your Brand, as required by the publishing schedule.
  • Develop your Brand. What is the competition doing better than us? What technology can we implement to make UX more immersive? Understand where you can add value to the wider team.
  • Support your Brand. What are you editors, marketeers, events and sales-people up to? How can you help them?
  • Development/Awareness. What are the current trends (in B2B, Design and IRL Editorial/Content Design) – can we learn from these and implement into our design, workflow or customer experience?
