Content & Digital Marketing Manager

Day-to-Day line-management of the Marketing Executive
Role Purpose
The Content & Digital Marketing Manager will own Horizon's content, digital presence and thought leadership strategy. This role is responsible for translating XCM's commercial strategy, product roadmap, client successes and market insights into compelling content that drives brand awareness, inbound demand, sales engagement and market credibility. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Strategic Projects, Sales, Client Development and Product teams, the Content & Digital Marketing Manager will lead the planning, creation and optimisation of content across web, social, email, webinars, events, sales enablement and digital channels. The Content & Digital Marketing Manager will have day-to-day line-management of the Marketing Executive.
The role combines strategic content planning with hands-on execution and will play a critical role in positioning Horizon as the leading AI-ready Customer Data & Intelligence Platform in the market. This individual will become the primary custodian of Horizon's external narrative and digital presence.
This is a highly visible role with significant opportunity to shape the voice, positioning and market perception of a rapidly growing technology business.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Editorial Leadership
- Own Horizon's content strategy and editorial roadmap.
- Build and manage quarterly content plans aligned to commercial priorities.
- Develop content themes around AI, customer intelligence, analytics, personalisation, data activation and industry trends.
- Maintain a structured content architecture supporting awareness, consideration and conversion.
- Identify opportunities to increase thought leadership and market visibility.
- Work with leadership to translate complex ideas into engaging content.
Thought Leadership & Industry Content
- Own the creation and management of:
- Horizon Intelligence Brief
- Industry insight reports
- Whitepapers
- Research pieces
- Executive articles
- LinkedIn newsletters
- Trend reports
- Opinion pieces
- Event content
- Thought leadership campaigns
- Support senior leaders in developing personal brands and market visibility.

Website & Digital Experience Ownership
- Own the Horizon and XCM website strategy.
- Manage website structure, navigation and user journeys.
- Lead website optimisation projects.
- Manage WordPress and digital publishing processes.
- Continually improve conversion performance.
- Create landing pages for campaigns, events and product launches.
- Work with developers and external agencies to implement enhancements.
- Work with Director of Marketing & Strategic Projects on SEO and PPC.
Product Marketing & Launch Support
- Partner with Product and Client Development teams to:
- Create product positioning and messaging.
- Develop product launch plans.
- Produce product guides and datasheets.
- Maintain product pages and documentation.
- Translate roadmap developments into customer-facing content.
- Support launches of new Horizon capabilities and AI services.
Sales Enablement Content
- Own the development and maintenance of:
- Sales presentations
- One-page overviews
- Sector credentials
- Product sheets
- Battlecards
- Case studies
- ROI content
- Customer success stories
- Ensure the sales team always has current and compelling materials.
Webinar, Video & Multimedia Content
- Own the content element of:
- Webinar programmes
- Product demonstrations
- Customer interviews
- Event content
- Video explainers
- Social clips
- Executive interviews
- Work with internal and external resources to maximise content re-use.
Social & Audience Development
- Working alongside the Marketing Executive:
- Create social content plans.
- Develop executive thought leadership programmes.
- Grow audience engagement.
- Increase Horizon's visibility within retail, sport, hospitality and gaming sectors.
- Repurpose long-form content into social assets.

Experience & Skills
Essential
- 4-7+ years experience in content marketing, digital marketing or product marketing.
- Experience within B2B technology, SaaS, software or data businesses.
- Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of content strategy and content architecture.
- Experience managing WordPress websites.
- Experience creating content for lead generation and sales enablement.
- Experience using AI tools to improve content creation workflows.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident in managing workload and priorities independently.
- It goes without saying that the successful candidate will have a very sharp eye for detail and well documented creative flair.
Desirable
- Product marketing experience.
- Webinar production experience.
- Video editing experience.
- Experience managing SEO and PPC projects.
- Understanding of CDP, CRM, AI, analytics or marketing technology sectors.
- Experience supporting sales teams within a growth-stage technology business.
