The successful candidate will be curious about global business and current affairs, highly organised and confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.

- Research, invite and confirm senior speakers and subject-matter experts.
- Liaise with FT journalists who chair or moderate FT Live events.
- Partner with the sponsorship team to support the fulfilment of agreed content deliverables.
- Research and write editorial proposals for sponsorship sales packs and pitches.
- Work with the project management team to support the effective delivery of programmed events and event collateral.
- Create original copy for email campaigns, newspaper advertisements, marketing brochures and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the social media team to produce and manage additional content before, during and after events.
- Support speaker liaison and on-the-day content delivery, including social media activity and content related to live streaming.
- Produce post-event materials, including speaker thank-you emails, event summaries and related content.
- Work with FT editorial colleagues to make effective use of FT.com video and other FT digital output across FT Live events.
- Conduct due diligence and contribute to the development of new ideas for global, multi-sponsored events.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
