The Role ITV News is looking for exceptional senior journalists to play a pivotal role at the heart of our newsgathering operation. As a Content Editor, you'll lead our news teams across the UK and around the world, driving coverage of breaking news, major investigations and the stories that set the agenda.

Working across the Home and Foreign Desks in the ITV Network Newsroom, you'll be at the centre of editorial decision-making, deploying teams, spotting opportunities and ensuring we deliver distinctive, authoritative journalism. No two days are the same. One moment you could be leading coverage of a major domestic story, the next coordinating reporting from international teams on a developing global event.

This is a rare opportunity for an outstanding journalist with exceptional news judgement, strong editorial leadership and a passion for original, agenda-setting journalism. You'll inspire and support talented teams in a fast-paced environment, helping ITV News tell compelling stories across all platforms, reaching millions of people every day.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
