I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We sell the practical stuff that keeps sites, schools and depots running, water tanks, litter and recycling bins, spill control, grit bins and winter safety equipment. Four websites, thousands of products, and customers who are usually solving a problem rather than browsing for fun.

Our written content has been produced by agencies for years, however due to significant growth, we are bringing content in-house, and you would be the person who does it. The first dedicated content hire, reporting to our Head of eCommerce.

What you would be doing

  • Rewriting product pages so a buyer can tell two similar products apart and choose the right one.
  • Researching and writing buying guides that answer real pre-purchase questions.
  • Writing informational content, how-to, comparison, compliance, that earns its place in search.
  • Proofreading across the business and being the person who keeps four websites sounding like one company.
  • Writing marketing material, brochures, email, and social media.
  • Looking at what performed and letting that shape what you write next.

What we are looking for

  • Someone who can write clearly about practical products without either over explaining to the reader or burying them in specification.
  • You will need excellent written English and genuinely sharp proofreading.
  • Beyond that, we care more about curiosity than about your CV, if you are the sort of person who asks questions until you understand how something works, you will do well here.
  • eCommerce, SEO, B2B and technical writing experience is essential.
  • Tell us what you have done and what you would like to learn.
