Content Executive

We're looking for a Content Executive to join our content team, working closely with England Rugby across their England Rugby and Red Roses brands and channels to help grow, engage and deepen connections with their online audiences.

The Role

  • Identify social and cultural trends that can become content opportunities, delivered with relevance and authenticity
  • Support the publishing of planned and reactive content across social media channels
  • Assist with writing captions that fit each platform's tone and best practices
  • Use design and video tools (including but not limited to Premiere, Photoshop, Azzuu) to optimise content for distribution
  • Actively interact with online communities, engaging with other users' posts and comments
  • Provide support to content managers across planning, ideation and publishing
  • Support across matchdays and events, identifying opportunities, creating content and engaging the community
  • Monitor platforms and conversations to spot storytelling opportunities
  • Contribute to ideation and briefing sessions, working closely with internal teams and England Rugby
  • Use platform analytics to support reporting requirements, monitoring engagement performance and informing future output

Who we need

  • Demonstrable experience in managing and engaging with online communities
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms and how to optimise for each
  • A proven ability to engage audiences and drive interaction
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong copywriting with a sharp eye for detail
  • Confidence using design or video tools (e.g. Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Azzuu) to edit and optimise content for social media
  • Passion for sport, ideally rugby
  • Willingness to work weekends in line with the sporting calendar
  • Experience working in a team environment
