Content Lead

This is an opportunity to define the editorial character of a growing graded-reading library. You will combine excellent judgement in children’s literature with a practical, systematic, and imaginative approach to creating content using AI.

You will select, create, adapt, and refine fiction and non-fiction for learners of English, building a library that is engaging, culturally accessible, and genuinely loved by its readers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the creative and editorial tastemaker for The Graded Library, establishing a distinctive, high-quality, and varied catalogue for young English-language learners.
  • Source, assess, and select fiction and non-fiction titles, including public-domain works suitable for adaptation.
  • Use AI extensively and responsibly throughout research, selection, writing, adaptation, grading, and editorial workflows.
  • Build systematic, repeatable approaches to content production, quality assurance, and catalogue development.
  • Modernise and adapt texts while retaining their literary value, clarity, and appeal.
  • Develop readers across graded levels, using CEFR, readability measures, text analysis, and learner feedback to guide decisions.
  • Review and improve AI-generated content, maintaining high standards for quality, coherence, accuracy, originality, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Work closely with other team members to develop innovative approaches to creating content.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
