💻 About the job
Tembo is one of the UK's fastest-growing fintechs, helping people save for, buy and own a home. Hundreds of thousands of customers already use Tembo to save and plan for their future, while our mortgage business has grown into one of the UK's leading mortgage brokers, voted the UK's Best Mortgage Broker five years in a row.
Buying a home is a huge life milestone, and also one of the most confusing. From building a deposit and understanding what you can afford, to navigating mortgages, ever-changing interest rates, conveyancing, surveys... the list goes on. People have endless questions and surprisingly few brands they genuinely trust to answer them. We want Tembo to become that brand.
We're looking for an exceptional Content Lead to build Tembo's content strategy and turn our owned channels into a destination for people who want to buy, save for and own a home.
You'll own our approach across our owned media: social, editorial and website, community, webinars and events - finding the stories, ideas and formats that make Tembo useful, interesting and distinctive.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who combines strategic thinking with brilliant creative instincts. You'll set the direction for Tembo's content, but you'll also roll your sleeves up and make it happen - whether that's developing a new social format, scripting a YouTube video, turning our data into a story people want to share or creating a content series from an emerging trend in the housing market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
