About Us
Speek Health is on a mission to end the wait for life-saving mental healthcare. We are building a digital treatment for young people aged 12–25 with complex mental health needs, and for their families. We work with NHS trusts to reach families earlier and support them through some of the hardest moments they'll face. Our team brings deep professional expertise and, for many of us, personal experience of caring for someone we love through a mental health crisis. Together, we're changing how families get the help they need.
About You
This is a great fit if you want to…
- Make an impact: Contribute to a service that delivers a meaningful and measurable impact on family mental health, directly improving well-being for children and young people by providing access to evidence-based support and fostering a compassionate community.
- Build something from the ground up: Join an early-stage, mission-driven company where you'll have the unique opportunity to build a content and learning design strategy and framework from the ground up, directly shaping our brand and future direction.
- Flexible working: We work flexibly, but we value human connection and meet twice a week to co-work in central London
- Feel like you belong: Our team members come from a widely diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. We are building a culture of kindness, inclusivity and excellence.
You're an experienced writer and content maker who thrives in early-stage environments. You've seen chaos, you know how to wrangle it, and you have the portfolio to prove it. Words are your foundation. You can set a tone of voice and then carry it everywhere, from a single line of onboarding copy to a full learning module to a social post. You use AI tools every day to turn ideas into visuals, video and audio at pace, and you have the taste to know when something isn't good enough yet. Your quality standards are high, especially when you're writing for young people and families going through something hard, but your two favourite words are still "ship it". You'll earn major bonus points if you've written inside a product before, or if you've made content that helps people learn and change.
You must
- Have 5+ years of professional experience in content design, UX writing, copywriting, or learning/instructional design
- Provide a portfolio with concrete examples of your work, ideally including product or in-app copy and creative work you've produced with AI tools
- Have a genuine interest in mental health and well-being
- Use AI tools confidently, day to day, to produce visual, video, audio and written content at pace, with the judgement to know when the output isn't good enough
- Have exceptional written communication skills and a keen eye for detail and grammar
- Be able to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, warm, age-appropriate language for young people, families and clinicians
- Show a strong interest in producing diverse content types, including product copy, learning materials, customer communications and marketing content
- Have experience in applying learning design principles
- Have strong project management skills, including building and maintaining a content calendar, managing workflows and consistently meeting deadlines
- Be able to work independently and manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to analyse content performance data and use it to improve content
- Have experience creating content or programmes in the mental health or well-being sector

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
