This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Content Manager based in United Kingdom.
This is a hands-on content leadership role focused on growing the organic visibility and business impact of two digital brands. You will own content strategy, editorial planning, production, optimization, and publication from end to end. The role combines people management with direct writing, editing, SEO, and website management responsibilities. You will work closely with writers, designers, developers, sales, operations, and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality content. Your work will help improve search rankings, qualified organic traffic, customer inquiries, and conversion opportunities. The position offers significant ownership over content operations, SEO priorities, and long-term digital growth.
Accountabilities
- Own and execute the content strategy and editorial calendar across both websites, prioritizing service pages, industry content, articles, case studies, landing pages, and other resources based on customer needs, search intent, and business objectives.
- Manage writers and editors by recruiting talent, assigning detailed briefs, setting deadlines, reviewing work, providing feedback, and personally rewriting or improving content when required.
- Oversee the full content lifecycle from research and assignment through editing, expert review, design, SEO validation, approval, publication, and ongoing optimization.
- Manage website content through the CMS, ensuring pages are accurate, accessible, mobile-friendly, well structured, properly formatted, and equipped with effective metadata, links, imagery, and calls to action.
- Lead SEO strategy and execution, including keyword and competitor research, content audits, search-intent analysis, keyword mapping, on-page optimization, internal linking, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate technical SEO initiatives with developers, including crawling, indexing, redirects, canonical tags, XML sitemaps, broken links, Core Web Vitals, structured data, migrations, and redesigns.
- Manage ethical link-building and digital PR initiatives by identifying relevant publications, associations, partnerships, editorial opportunities, and resources capable of earning authoritative coverage.
- Apply strong E-E-A-T principles by ensuring content is accurate, evidence-based, trustworthy, culturally and commercially appropriate, and supported by relevant expertise and credible sources.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate content and SEO workflows while maintaining human oversight, fact-checking, editing, and accountability for all published material.
- Improve conversion performance by strengthening service explanations, calls to action, inquiry paths, registration flows, demonstration requests, and other customer journeys.
- Collaborate with sales and operations to understand customer questions, objections, terminology, and purchasing decisions, using these insights to improve content and lead quality.
- Maintain clear reporting on planned, assigned, reviewed, published, and optimized content, providing weekly updates and monthly performance reports using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, and relevant SEO platforms.
- Establish a dependable content operation through clear workflows, documentation, editorial standards, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct an initial audit during the first 90 days, establish performance baselines, evaluate team capacity, address urgent SEO issues, improve priority pages, strengthen internal linking, and develop a roadmap for subsequent growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
