Content Manager
Social Media, Website Content & Shoot Coordination
Mekhann | Chelsea & Mayfair, London
Full-time | Hybrid, showroom-led
£35,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience
Mekhann is a London design house creating one-of-a-kind and limited-edition hand-embroidered silk works and objects for interiors, with showrooms in Chelsea and Mayfair.
We are looking for a Content Manager to manage our day-to-day social media and website content, organise creative assets and coordinate product and showroom shoots.
Working directly with the Founder and Creative Director, you will turn creative direction into well-prepared content and see agreed work through to publication. The immediate focus is Instagram, Shopify content and the organisation behind both.
This role suits someone who has already delivered content professionally and is ready for broader responsibility. You will learn Mekhann’s collection, visual language and presentation standards while developing greater ownership of the content workflow.
What you’ll do
- Manage the agreed weekly content calendar, preparing captions, social posts and simple video edits, and taking them through feedback, approval and publication.
- Update Shopify content across product pages, collections and other agreed website areas, checking copy, imagery and product information for accuracy.
- Select and format images and video for different channels, paying attention to colour, detail, scale and how each piece is presented.
- Maintain an organised content library with clear file names, versions and approval status, so approved material is easy to find and use.
- Prepare and coordinate product and showroom shoots, including product lists, shot lists, schedules and communication with photographers and other creative partners.
- Track deadlines and outstanding feedback, flag missing information early and review basic content results to inform future work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you’ll bring
- Practical experience delivering content for a brand, retailer, studio or agency, including work you have personally prepared and published. Freelance experience is welcome.
- Strong visual judgement and an interest in interiors, objects, materials and the relationship between a product and the room around it.
- Clear written English and the ability to write concise copy within an established brand voice.
- Confidence with website content updates and basic image editing or video cutdowns. Shopify is preferred; experience with another CMS is relevant.
- An organised approach to recurring work, with the ability to apply feedback, manage agreed deadlines and ask precise questions when information is missing.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Experience supporting shoots or working with physical products would be useful. You do not need to have held a Manager title or worked in luxury, but you should be able to show the quality of your work and explain your contribution.
Working at Mekhann
You will work closely with the Founder, who sets creative direction and provides final creative approval. Your responsibility is to organise and deliver the agreed content, with increasing independence as you become familiar with the house.
The role gives you direct involvement with the collection, shoots and published work across several channels. Professional photography and advanced video production may involve external specialists, whom you will help brief and coordinate.
Regular work at our Chelsea and Mayfair showrooms is required for product preparation and shoots. Planning, writing, editing and scheduling can be done flexibly where appropriate.
To apply
Please apply with your CV and links to three relevant work examples, included in your CV or a linked portfolio. These could be social content, website pages, product content or a shoot you helped deliver.
For each example, briefly explain what you personally handled. Relevant redacted examples are welcome where work is confidential.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a short, paid practical task.
