Content Manager | PiXL | £45,000 | Remote, Flexible, Full-Time, Permanent

PiXL is the UK's largest education leadership network. For over 25 years, we've worked alongside school leaders to provide evidence-informed strategies, professional development, and collaborative networks that drive sustainable improvement across thousands of schools and colleges. This role is about shaping the voice of one of the UK's most respected education brands.
The Role
Shape the Voice and Storytelling of PiXL
- Lead content strategy across every PiXL audience and platform
- Own the PiXL brand voice, editorial standards, and content governance
- Develop compelling campaigns, stories, and thought leadership
- Coach colleagues to become confident ambassadors of the PiXL brand
- Measure the impact of content and continuously improve performance
A Day in the Life
No two days look identical, but every day is dynamic and powered by our mission to improve life chances. You'll be involved in:
- Editorial leadership — owning the editorial direction of PiXL, ensuring every piece of content reflects a consistent and engaging brand voice
- Powerful storytelling — identifying powerful stories across PiXL's schools, programmes, and people, bringing them to life through creative and vibrant content
- Content strategy — planning and coordinating blogs, social media, websites, emails, and thought leadership campaigns across multiple audiences
- Social media prowess — leading on all channels for all audiences in the PiXL portfolio to drive community and engagement through organic media
- Performance insights — measuring engagement, reach, attribution, and content performance, using insight to refine future campaigns and storytelling
- Media and reputation — working alongside external PR partners to identify opportunities, coordinate media activity, and strengthen PiXL's national profile

What You'll Bring
You will likely have:
- Experience leading content strategy across multiple digital channels
- Exceptional writing, editing, and editorial skills
- Experience managing social media and website content
- Ability to translate complex ideas into engaging stories
- Experience using analytics to improve content performance
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Confidence balancing creativity with commercial objectives

Bonus, but not essential:
- Experience managing external PR or media agencies
- Experience developing brand tone of voice guidelines
- Experience within education, charities, or membership organizations
- Experience coaching colleagues in communication and storytelling
- Experience using CMS platforms, SEO, and content analytics tools
