JOB TITLE: Content Manager (Social)

REPORTING LINE: Head of Digital & Content

DEPARTMENT: Digital & Content

LOCATIONS: Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow

CONTRACT: Full-time, Permanent

THE ROLE

Rangers FC is looking for a Content Manager to lead our social media presence across every major platform. This is a hands-on, creative role at the heart of our Digital & Content team, combining strong editorial instincts with a genuine feel for what works on each platform. You will plan, create and publish our day-to-day social output, lead real-time matchday coverage, and work closely with the Head of Digital & Content to shape our social strategy. You will also contribute editorial content for the Club website to get the most out of everything we produce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Content & Publishing

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging, platform-native content across all club social media channels including Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Broadcast, Facebook, YouTube and any other emerging channels.
  • Lead matchday social media coverage, producing real-time content across platforms that captures the atmosphere, narrative, and key moments of each fixture.
  • Contribute to creation and execution of a rolling content calendar that balances planned campaign activity with reactive, culturally relevant content opportunities.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms while adapting content style to suit the nuances and audiences of each channel.
  • Produce and edit short-form video content for social platforms, including Reels, TikToks, and Shorts, whether independently or in collaboration with the video team.
  • Capture photography for social use where required, ensuring coverage of key moments where the primary photography resource is unavailable.

Strategy & Performance

  • Work with the Head of Digital & Content to develop and refine the club's social media strategy, including platform-specific approaches and growth targets.
  • Monitor social media performance data on an ongoing basis, drawing insight from analytics to inform content decisions and report on key metrics.
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, emerging formats, and cultural trends, proactively bringing forward-thinking ideas to the team.
  • Identify and act on content opportunities in real time, including breaking news, player milestones, and fan moments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
