About us
The Study Society is a registered charity based at Colet House, a beautiful and historic centre for spiritual exploration, wellbeing and community in West London.
For more than 70 years, the Society has brought people together to explore ways of living with greater awareness, connection and meaning. Today, Colet House hosts a diverse programme of meditation, movement, music, philosophy, spiritual practice, workshops, talks, performances and community events.
We are looking for a creative, energetic and personable Content & Marketing Coordinator to help us tell the story of Colet House, grow our audiences and develop an exciting programme of events and collaborations.
This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable filming an event for Instagram as they are approaching a potential new facilitator, developing a campaign or helping bring an event to life.
The role
You will work closely with our small office team to develop and deliver marketing campaigns, create engaging digital content, build relationships with teachers and facilitators, and help plan and promote events at Colet House.
The role combines two different kinds of working:
At Colet House (Strategy & Creative Work)
Working alongside our team to plan campaigns, coordinate events, and collaborate on marketing strategy. This also includes focused time for creative production—such as video editing, graphic design, writing content, and social media scheduling.
At Live Events
Regular evening and weekend shifts capturing workshops, talks, performances, festivals, and community gatherings, while helping to ensure events run smoothly.
Key responsibilities
Content creation
- Create engaging visual content that captures the atmosphere, people and activities of Colet House.
- This will include shooting and editing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok and other platforms; photographing events and workshops; interviewing facilitators and participants where appropriate; and turning the wealth of activity at Colet House into compelling digital stories.
Social media & campaigns
- Manage and develop our social media presence, creating and scheduling regular content across our channels.
- Develop creative promotional campaigns for individual events and the wider Colet House programme, helping us reach both our existing community and new audiences.
- Set up and manage straightforward targeted digital advertising campaigns and monitor their effectiveness.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The person we're looking for
More than anything, we are looking for someone who combines creativity with initiative.
Colet House is an unusual place with an extraordinary history, beautiful spaces and a huge amount happening within it. We want someone who can see the potential in that — someone who will spot a great story, reach for the camera, suggest an idea, approach an interesting collaborator and help turn opportunities into reality.
You don't need to belong to any particular spiritual tradition. What matters is that you are genuinely interested in this world, respectful of the different traditions represented at Colet House, and excited by the opportunity to help more people discover what happens here.
Working pattern
This role is based at Colet House, combining regular office hours with attendance at selected events.
Your core hours will be spent on-site working alongside the office team, and creating content, with the remaining schedule structured around key events.
As many of Colet House's workshops, talks, and gatherings take place outside normal office hours, the role will include occasional evening and weekend work. We do not expect the postholder to attend every event; instead, we will agree in advance which events are particularly important for content, promotion, or programme development.
Where evening or weekend work is required, these hours will form part of your contracted hours, and daytime office hours during the rest of the week will be adjusted accordingly.
There will also be periods requiring greater on-site presence—such as during festivals, open days, and major events—balanced by lighter office schedules during quieter times.
Holiday
20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata. For a 24-hour/three-day-per-week role, holiday entitlement will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Pension
The Study Society will provide an employer pension contribution in accordance with its workplace pension scheme and applicable auto-enrolment requirements.
Probation
The appointment will be subject to a six-month probationary period, with regular check-ins during the first few months to ensure the role, priorities and working pattern are working well for both parties.
Equipment
The Study Society will provide access to the equipment and software reasonably required for the role. We are also happy for the successful candidate to use their own preferred camera or content-creation equipment where appropriate.
Flexibility
Colet House is a busy and sometimes unpredictable place, and this role will suit someone who enjoys variety. There may be weeks focused primarily on campaigns and content creation and others centred around events, filming or outreach.
