I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can take a piece of content from idea to final edit. You'll combine strong videography and editorial instincts with a real understanding of why a story matters, who it is for and how it supports student recruitment. You'll manage several projects at once while keeping every piece of work purposeful, accessible and on brand.
About You
We're looking for a Content Marketing Executive who is as comfortable behind the camera and in the edit as they are developing an idea, writing the copy and working with people to uncover the story.
You'll Fit Right In If You
- Have strong, hands-on experience filming and editing video content, with a showreel or examples that demonstrate your creative and technical ability.
- Are a thoughtful storyteller who starts with the purpose, understands the audience and can turn insight into content that connects and inspires action.
- Can create compelling content across digital and social channels, with excellent copywriting and editing skills.
- Understand how to engage young and diverse audiences, adapting stories with care for different cultures, formats and platforms.
- Are organised, collaborative and confident managing projects, deadlines and stakeholders without losing sight of the creative detail.
Sound like your kind of role? We'd love to hear from you. Please include a link to your showreel or examples of video and content work with your application.
