Content Marketing Manager (Contract)
Location: London - Wimbledon
Hybrid: In office 1 day a week
Contract Length: Initial 3-month contract, with the potential to extend for a further 3 months
Day Rate: Approximately £200 per day, dependent on experience
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to join our marketing team and support content initiatives across both Harnham and Rockborne.
This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and help us accelerate content production across multiple channels. You'll work directly with the Head of Digital Marketing, taking ownership of content creation, optimisation and SEO-focused projects that drive organic growth, brand awareness and lead generation.
You'll be responsible for creating and improving a wide range of content, from SEO articles and landing pages to downloadable assets and content audits. You'll also work closely with external agencies, ensuring everything produced meets quality standards and aligns with SEO best practice.
There is potential for this contract role to become a permanent position in the future, but our immediate focus is finding someone who can quickly make an impact and help increase the pace and quality of content output.

Rockborne is a fast-growing Data & AI consultancy and training provider. We recruit, train and deploy diverse early-career data professionals into organisations while also delivering corporate training, consulting and capability-building programmes.
Together, Harnham and Rockborne sit at the centre of the Data & AI ecosystem, working closely with both talent and organisations across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality SEO-focused articles and thought leadership content.
- Create and optimise landing page copy to support lead generation campaigns.
- Conduct content audits and identify opportunities to improve organic performance.
- Produce recommendations for content optimisation based on SEO best practice.
- Support backlink outreach and guest posting initiatives.
- Review and provide feedback on content created by external agencies and freelancers.
- Create downloadable content assets including guides, reports and PDF resources.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop content that supports commercial objectives.
- Support wider content marketing projects across both Harnham and Rockborne.
- Ensure all content follows SEO best practice and aligns with brand guidelines.
- Monitor industry trends and identify new content opportunities within the Data & AI market.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a content marketing, content manager or SEO content role.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
- Experience creating content that drives organic traffic and lead generation.
- Good understanding of technical and on-page SEO principles.
- Experience using SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality content.
- Experience conducting content audits and developing optimisation recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Experience working with agencies, freelancers or external content contributors would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of Data, Analytics, AI or B2B professional services markets would be advantageous but is not essential.
