The content planning manager is responsible for the governance of processes to deliver the end-to-brand marketing strategy and all brand activity, this is an integral role within the George brand marketing team across Clothing, Home and General Merchandising.
Key Accountabilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Build and nurture relationships across the business and hold an informed understanding of the business's short mid- and long-term goals and priorities.
- Lead all brand cross-functional meetings and the management of key milestones for delivery for all brand stakeholders and understands wider brand and trading processes including impacts for delivery.
- Brand Governance
- Manage George brand processes and tools to drive alignment of all stakeholders, holding all marketing channels to account to deliver on time to drive efficient workflow and costs.
- Management and planning of the total brand critical path for clothing, home and general merchandise.
- Provides weekly status reports to senior leadership through relevant forums, documents and tools to flag on track, off track and risk within the total plan.
- Content Management
- Links customer mindset to the trading plan providing recommendations for channel mixes and brand launches, feeding into wider business strategy and activation planning.
- Delivers a full channel matrix across all brand customer journey touch points to support in defining what content is required, to inform budget planning and channel execution for both creative services and brand channels.
- Oversees the brand channel map, detailing activity by day across all marketing, media and retail channels, to drive relevant and full brand alignment in brand planning and provides solutions to reactive changes and opportunities.
- Channel Effectiveness
- Create content models mapping out the stages of the customer journey identifying ways to optimise and develop future recommendations for content planning approaches and investment.
- Tracks and records asset usage and changes to brand activity to understand cost impact to brand and mitigate future changes to maximise brand investment.
- Staying current with industry trends
- Carry out competitor and market analysis of industry trends and innovation maintaining a thorough knowledge to support the long-term benefit of brand
- Undertaking other ad-hoc projects as and when required

Key Skills
- Marketing expertise: You should have a strong understanding of marketing principles, and the processes required to deliver a robust marketing plan
- Leadership skills: You should be able to lead cross-functional teams at all levels and effectively communicate the company’s vision and goals.
- Work Independently: Self-motivated and solution focused with the ability to take ownership and carryout tasks independently alongside working with the wider teams.
- Flexible and Resourceful: Working in a fast-paced environment you will be confident in raising and seeking proactive solutions to unexpected problems to support the delivery of the wider marketing process.
- Organisation: Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and workflow, proactive time management and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills: You must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the business across multiple teams in both written and verbal communication
