Assistant Producer / Producer
Location: Sheffield (5 minutes from Sheffield train station)
Hours: 4 days per week
Salary: £40,000 – £48,000 (dependent on experience)
About Us
We're a media company creating content for the over-55 audience, telling the stories that matter to this often-overlooked demographic. We're growing our content output and looking for a talented Assistant Producer or Producer to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for an Assistant Producer or Producer to join our production team, helping shape and deliver compelling content for our audience. You'll be involved across the production process — from research and development through to filming, and (depending on level) editing and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop and pitch original factual content ideas
- Source and secure contributors, case studies and locations
- Plan and coordinate shoots, including logistics and scheduling
- Direct interviews and filming on location (Producer level)
- Work closely with the Series Producer/Executive Producer to shape editorial direction
- Liaise with contributors sensitively and professionally, particularly given our audience and subject matter
- Support the edit process, providing notes and direction to editors
- Ensure compliance, clearances and accuracy throughout production
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience working as an Assistant Producer or Producer on TV shows, or in a similar role
- Strong research and storytelling skills, with a good editorial eye
- Confident working with contributors, including vulnerable or older contributors
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple shoots/deadlines
- A genuine interest in and understanding of content for an older audience
- Team player who can also work independently and use initiative
