About The Role

PEI’s special projects business is growing rapidly and we are now seeking a creative, organised and highly motivated team player to support our editors in producing an expanding portfolio of sponsor-backed reports and multimedia projects, which take a deep dive into current trends shaping the private investment markets.

As content producer, you will work across PEI’s brands gaining valuable market insight, building knowledge and developing contacts in these key areas of the alternative assets sector.

In this wide-ranging role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the editors to identify relevant content for reports, develop flat plans, assist with writing assignments, commission, copyedit and proofread articles, as well as assist with podcast and video production.
  • Liaise closely with our marketing, print production and design teams.

The role has the scope for the candidate to progress to the position of special projects editor or multimedia producer.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Research, write and edit articles for print and digital on private equity developments and trends for special supplements and projects. They will typically have sponsor involvement and must be produced in association with company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices to develop original content ideas in print and for podcasts and videos.
  • Liaise directly with external clients to ensure video and podcast interviews, guest commentaries, keynote interviews, roundtables and related materials are produced to PEI and client standards.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with other departments (e.g. Research & Analytics, Marketing, Advertising, Design) regarding all special projects.
  • Work closely with PEI Group title editors to ensure content and direction is in line with industry trends and editorial mission.
  • Participate actively in editorial planning and production meetings.
  • Co-ordinate the efficient sourcing of relevant production assets including podcast recordings and video footage.
  • Oversee production of each report or special project, managing flatplans and adhering to deadlines.
  • Assist in management of social media channels.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent required, ideally with post-graduate journalism qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in journalism, ideally within the finance sector or a B2B publication.
  • Ability to co-ordinate with journalists, the production team and design team to meet deadlines with as little stress as possible.
  • An understanding of the alternative assets and private equity industry.
  • Experience working with sponsors and commercial partners to produce thought leadership.
  • Ability to research market trends and data and help shape potential feature/report themes.
  • An understanding of both print and digital journalism and the different approaches required.
  • Data savvy with the ability to turn complex survey results into accessible editorial content.
