Breakbulk (events) are the world’s leading events in the project cargo and breakbulk industries. The Breakbulk portfolio is made up of four events located in the Middle East, Europe, America and Asia, and are recognised for bringing thousands of companies together to network, connect, and generate new business and strengthen existing relationships. It is a place where industry decision makers can connect to support the completion of global projects.
More than just trade shows, all Breakbulk events offer live content, education and thought leadership, bringing together leading industry voices to explore the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the sector, share knowledge and best practice, and support the industry’s continued development.
Role Overview
- Content Planning: Develop content plans for your allocated show features, shaping conference agendas and working with stakeholders to refine and deliver them.
- Speaker Recruitment: Identify, engage and secure high-quality speakers and industry leaders, building relationships that enhance the quality and relevance of the content programme.
- Speaker Management & Logistics: Manage the end-to-end speaker journey, ensuring speakers are well briefed and prepared for their sessions while coordinating logistics and administration where required.
- Onsite Delivery: Manage onsite delivery of your content features, ensuring sessions run smoothly, speakers are fully supported and attendees receive an excellent experience. Review feedback and performance post-event to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Education Day: Manage the development and delivery of Education Day, a key part of Breakbulk events, including programme development, speaker recruitment, stakeholder coordination and onsite delivery.
- Research & Programme Development: Conduct a research campaign into industry trends, market developments and emerging topics to help shape relevant and engaging content programmes.
- Digital Content: Work with the Marketing team to support digital content across Breakbulk channels, promoting speakers, sessions and industry insights before, during and after events.

Here’s what we’re looking for from you
- Conference Production Experience: At least 2 years' experience in B2B conference production, event programming, editorial, media or events roles.
- Research & Content Development: Strong research skills, with the ability to identify trends, develop content ideas and translate insights into compelling conference programmes.
- Content Strategy & Planning: Proven ability to develop and manage content plans for events and conferences.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage industry stakeholders and represent the brand professionally.
- Speaker Recruitment & Stakeholder Management: Experience identifying and building relationships with speakers, industry experts and other stakeholders, and supporting them throughout the event lifecycle.
- Collaboration: A team player who works effectively with colleagues across content, marketing, operations and sales, and aligning content with business goals.
- Onsite Event Delivery: Experience supporting the delivery of live events, ensuring a high standard of experience for speakers and attendees.
- Digital Content & Marketing Support: Familiarity with digital content strategy, working alongside marketing teams to create engaging materials, promoting the conference agenda and speakers for online audiences.
- Analytical & Performance Review: Familiarity in evaluating content performance using data-driven insights, refining strategies for continuous improvement.
