Content & Social Media Manager

📍 Manchester | Salary £40k - DOE | 37 Hours per Week | Office Based

We're looking for a creative, commercially minded Content & Social Media Manager to join a thriving Manchester-based Consumer business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of content and social strategy, drive brand growth, and help shape the future of a rapidly expanding business.

Working closely with the senior marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing engaging content, growing online communities, and delivering impactful campaigns across multiple channels.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and delivering a content strategy aligned with brand and business objectives
  • Planning, creating and scheduling engaging social media content across key platforms
  • Leading creative campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement and sales
  • Producing high-quality content including blogs, email campaigns, product copy and social posts
  • Analysing content performance and using insights to optimise future activity
  • Building and nurturing online communities through proactive engagement
  • Collaborating with marketing, product and sales teams on launches and campaigns
  • Keeping up with emerging social trends, platform updates and industry developments

About You

We're looking for a hands-on content specialist with a passion for storytelling, social media and brand building.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a Content Manager, Social Media Manager or similar Social Media role
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms and best practices
  • Experience using scheduling and analytics tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics or Meta Insights
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills, ideally using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong eye for detail and brand consistency
  • Confident creating content and appearing on camera
  • Understanding of both organic and paid social content
