Content Writer

Location: United Kingdom

Workplace: Remote

Salary: £13–£18 per hour (£25,350–£35,100 annual equivalent based on a 37.5-hour week)

Contract: Part-time, with full-time options available

Reports to: Content Manager (client side)


The opportunity

Apply4U is recruiting a Content Writer on behalf of a UK-based business expanding its content output. The role is fully remote and available on either a part-time or full-time basis. It will suit a commercially experienced writer who understands audience needs and brand tone of voice.


The role

You will create content across blog, web, email and social channels, working with marketing, design and SEO colleagues to deliver clear and consistent communications.


Key responsibilities

  • Research and write engaging blog posts, articles and web copy.
  • Adapt content for email, social media and other marketing channels.
  • Maintain a consistent brand tone of voice across outputs.
  • Apply basic SEO principles where appropriate.
  • Work with marketing, design and SEO teams on content briefs.
  • Proofread and edit your own work to a high standard before submission.
  • Manage multiple briefs and deliver work to agreed deadlines.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience in content writing, copywriting or editorial work.
  • Portfolio of published or sample writing.
  • Excellent written English.
  • Good understanding of brand tone and audience-focused writing.
  • Awareness of basic SEO and content best practice.
  • Self-motivation and reliability in a remote environment.
  • Stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.

Desirable

  • Experience writing for sectors such as technology, finance or lifestyle.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Webflow.
