Content Writer (Mid-Weight)

We are looking for a Content Writer (mid-weight) who is passionate about social media writing, with a keen eye for storytelling, strong copywriting skills, and creative ideation. You'll act as a content guardian for your accounts, ensuring our creative output is rooted in editorial strategy, shaped by social best practices, and always ahead of what's trending in culture and innovation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Write engaging content for social channels
  • Produce long & short-form storytelling for a variety of social & digital placements
  • Lead on the creation & delivery of high-impact editorial calendars
  • Push creative thinking & work closely with creatives, producers, video editors & co-creators to develop compelling stories to support your editorial plans
  • Work closely with strategists & creatives to interpret client briefs & develop content plans / campaign proposals
  • Adapt content ideas & copy for different social media channels, understanding platform nuances and tone
  • Support other editorial & strategy colleagues in developing editorial strategies for clients - helping them to align their overall brand and creative proposition with their wider content output

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Ability to write accurate, clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy
  • A strong understanding of storytelling for short-form content
  • A background in writing for different social channels (including dark formats)
  • An ability to flex your content ideas & tone across different brands/sectors
  • A good understanding of commercial content and what stories will be attractive to which audiences
  • A keen eye for cultural trends & an ability to ideate reactively
  • Non-stop ideas and strong attention to detail
  • An interest in audience insights & approaching content strategically
  • A passion for advertising and branded content
  • Experience working in a creative environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow you to build relationships
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience generating content ideas for Reddit, Twitch & Discord
  • Experience pulling together shotlists / writing scripts & attending client shoots
  • Understanding of video editing capabilities / experience with social editing tools
  • Ability to convey & present your ideas in slide format
