We are seeking an ambitious Contentious Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive to join one of the best boutique contentious probate law firms in the north west. This is a permanent, full-time job opportunity and would suit an ambitious Solicitor with experience dealing with Contentious Probate matters. The company is also offering the opportunity to become a partner within the firm, along with a strong leadership role, with no BD duties.
Role Responsibilities
As a Contentious Probate Solicitor or Legal Executive, your new job will see you working closely with other members of the Senior Management team taking responsibility for a varied caseload with a focus on Contentious Probate matters.
- You will be fully supported by an experienced and dynamic team and have a dedicated legal assistant to enable you to focus on providing high-quality service to each and every client.
- This opportunity would suit an ambitious and confident Solicitor or Legal Executive with extensive experience within contentious probate who wishes to advance into a Partner role within the company.

Specific duties will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of contentious probate matters
- Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
- Draft pleadings, statements of case and pre-issue documentation and file with the court as appropriate
- Attend court/conferences with or without counsel
- Organise exhibits, documents, evidence, and briefs
- Liaise with internal and external third parties
- Provide assistance with larger technical/complex claims within the team as and when necessary
- Supervise junior colleagues as and when required

Person Specification
Applications are sought from Contentious Probate Solicitors or Legal Executives.
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (3 years PQE+)
- Great communication skills and an ability to work well with others
- Ability to work under time constraints and prioritise workload
- Able to handle sensitive matters discreetly
- Good organisation skills with a methodical approach
- Self-motivated and proactive
