Content & Social Media Marketing Executive
We are looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Content & Social Media Marketing Executive to join our growing Marketing team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–4 years' experience who wants to develop their career across social media, content marketing and B2B demand generation.
The primary focus of the role will be to manage and grow our social media presence, creating engaging content that builds our brand, showcases our expertise and connects with our target audiences.
Alongside social media, the role will support the wider Content and Marketing team with content creation, thought leadership, customer stories, campaigns, events and content distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media – Primary Responsibility
- Support the development and execution of the company's social media strategy and day-to-day activity.
- Own the social media content calendar, ensuring a consistent flow of relevant and engaging content.
- Create, schedule and publish content across relevant social channels.
- Adapt content for different platforms and audiences.
- Develop social content around company news, product activity, customer stories, events, thought leadership and industry topics.
- Monitor social channels, trends and relevant conversations to identify opportunities for engagement and content creation.
- Work with internal experts and regional teams to source stories, insights and content.
- Support employee advocacy by creating content that colleagues can easily share.
- Track social performance and recommend ways to improve reach, engagement and audience growth.
Content Creation & Thought Leadership
- Write and edit content for blogs, articles, social media, email, website pages and campaign materials.
- Support the development of content around the questions and challenges that matter most to customers and prospects.
- Help turn internal expertise and customer insight into useful and engaging content.
- Support the creation of customer stories, case studies, guides and other content assets.
- Repurpose long-form content into social posts, short-form content, graphics and other formats.
- Support the development and promotion of thought leadership from senior leaders and subject matter experts.
- Contribute to our They Ask, You Answer approach by identifying and answering the questions our audiences are asking.
Campaign & Content Distribution
- Support Demand Generation and Regional Marketing teams with content for campaigns and marketing activity.
- Create and adapt content for different stages of the customer journey.
- Support email campaigns, webinars, events, landing pages and other content-led activity.
- Coordinate content distribution and promotion across relevant channels.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose existing content and increase its reach and value.
- Work with the wider Marketing team to ensure content supports brand, engagement and pipeline generation objectives.

Content Operations & Collaboration
- Maintain content and social media calendars, briefs and publishing schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Digital, agencies and freelancers to deliver content and creative assets.
- Ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and delivered to agreed deadlines.
- Maintain content libraries and social media assets.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Regional Marketing to ensure content reflects product priorities and local market needs.
Performance & Innovation
- Track and report on social media and content performance, including reach, engagement, and audience growth.
- Use performance insights to improve future content and social activity.
- Test different formats, messaging and approaches to improve performance.
- Use AI and other marketing tools to support research, content creation, repurposing and productivity.
- Stay up to date with developments in social media, content marketing and AI.

The role will work closely with:
- Content Manager – content strategy and editorial direction.
- Demand Generation – campaigns, content distribution and pipeline generation.
- Product Marketing – product messaging, launches and product content.
- Regional Marketing – local stories, events and market insight.
- Digital & Web – website and digital content.
- Design & Creative – visual and multimedia content.
- Subject Matter Experts & Leadership – thought leadership and expert content.
- External agencies and freelancers – content and creative production.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 1–4 years' experience in content marketing, social media or a broader marketing role.
- Strong written English and confident copywriting skills.
- Good understanding of social media platforms and what makes content engaging.
- Experience creating and publishing content across multiple channels.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Creative, curious and willing to experiment with new ideas.
- Comfortable working with a range of internal stakeholders and managing multiple deadlines.
- Good understanding of digital marketing and the role content plays in the customer journey.
- Comfortable using data and performance metrics to improve activity.

- Experience within B2B SaaS, technology or education.
- Experience managing company social media channels.
- Experience creating short-form video or multimedia content.
- Experience with social media scheduling, CMS or email marketing platforms.
- Experience working with agencies or freelancers.
- Basic understanding of SEO.
- Experience using AI tools for content creation and marketing.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is creative, curious, organised and genuinely interested in social media and content.
You might currently be a Marketing Executive, Social Media Executive, Content Executive or Marketing Coordinator looking to develop your expertise.
You don't need to be an expert in every area of marketing. We are looking for someone who can write well, understand what makes content engaging, learn quickly, and get things done.
