The Role

MCS Group is looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Data Strategy Consultant to support the discovery and planning phase of an enterprise data transformation programme. This is a business-facing contract, where you'll bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical architects, helping shape a future-state data strategy.

  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to understand how the organisation currently uses its data, identify opportunities for improvement and define the roadmap for a modern data platform.
  • Running stakeholder workshops across business and technical teams.
  • Understanding business processes, data flows and how data is used to support decision making.
  • Mapping current-state processes, systems and integrations.
  • Defining future-state business and data requirements.
  • Working alongside Solution Architects to translate business needs into technical direction.
  • Supporting data governance, operating models and ownership frameworks.
  • Producing discovery documentation, recommendations and implementation roadmaps.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
