Contract Technical Business Analyst - EDI & Integrations
Duration: 6-9 Months
IR35: Outside IR35
Location: Fully Remote Working
Start: ASAP
We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst with strong EDI and integration experience to join a project on an initial 6-9-month contract, Outside IR35. This is a technically focused Business Analyst role where hands-on experience of EDI, system integrations, data mapping, and data flows is essential. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, suppliers, and external EDI partners, translating business requirements into clear technical requirements and development tasks. Strong EDI experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document EDI and system-to-system integrations.
- Work with UBL, EDIFACT, XML, APIs, and data mappings.
- Understand the business meaning and semantics behind data.
- Work with suppliers, EDI partners, developers, and internal technical teams.
- Produce detailed requirements, user stories, and development tasks.
- Support integration testing, on-boarding, and implementation.
- Challenge ambiguous requirements and make sensible assumptions.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Essential Experience
- Strong EDI experience
- Technical Business Analysis within integration/data environments.
- APIs, system integrations, and data mapping.
- Requirements gathering and technical documentation.
- Understanding of business data and operational processes.
- Experience working with developers and external technical partners.

We are looking for someone who sits comfortably between Business Analysis, Data, and Technical Integration. You must be technically confident enough to understand integrations, APIs, EDI structures, mappings, and data flows and, importantly, be able to explain these concepts in a way that makes sense to business stakeholders.
