Contract Business Analyst – Operations
Wealth Proposition | 6 month contract | Outside IR35 | Market rate | Hybrid Working
Investec is progressing a significant growth agenda within its UK Private Client franchise to deliver our ambition to scale a high-touch, advice-led proposition that combines private banking, wealth capabilities, digital access and the wider One Investec ecosystem. As part of this, the business is developing a broader UK Wealth proposition that will require robust, client-centred operational foundations across onboarding, servicing, fulfilment, controls and governance.
This is business-facing contract role for someone who understands how UK wealth management works in practice end-to-end and can turn strategic proposition intent into clear, usable delivery artefacts. You will work as part of a small central build squad, partnering with proposition, operations, platform, service, risk and governance stakeholders to enable the build out of a seamless client experience, deepen banking and wealth relationships, and launch with disciplined, scalable operational processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
