Location: Denton Area, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: £30-35k per annum
Reports to: Operations Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Contract Coordinator to support the effective administration and management of contracts across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating contract documentation, maintaining accurate records, and supporting internal delivery teams, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.

This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the administration of contracts from initial setup through to completion.
  • Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract registers and electronic filing systems.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to obtain required information and documentation.
  • Ensure contract documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately authorised.
  • Support the Contract Manager and site-based supervisors ensuring all plant equipment and materials are available when required.
  • Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, payment queries, and other commercial administration.
  • Maintain records of variations, extensions, disputes, claims, and other contractual correspondence.
  • Support audits by ensuring contractual records and supporting documentation are readily available.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and relevant legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Identify potential issues or risks and escalate them to the appropriate manager.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the wider commercial, operations, or contracts team.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a contract administration, coordination, commercial administration, or similar role.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong record-keeping and document-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.

Desirable:

  • Experience within [construction / facilities management / engineering / professional services / procurement / public sector – amend as appropriate].
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, invoicing, and supplier management.
