Full Stack Developer (React / TypeScript / Moodle)

8 - 12 weeks Contract, Fully Remote
Ideally £250 a day, Outside IR35

A rapidly expanding EdTech company is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to play a key role in the next phase of a flagship digital platform designed to help young people discover careers, develop future-ready skills, and access personalised learning opportunities.

This is a short term 8 - 12 weeks contract, fully remote and working Outside IR35.

The Role:

Working closely with the Founder, Product Team, and Designers, you'll help deliver a major platform enhancement programme focused on secure user management, identity, learning platform integrations, and scalable backend services.

You'll be joining a project with clearly defined requirements and a strong product vision, giving you the opportunity to focus on delivering high-quality, secure, and maintainable software.

Scope of work:

  • Build and enhance features across a modern learning and careers platform using React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
  • Develop secure, scalable solutions that support thousands of learners, parents, and educators
  • Integrate the platform with external systems, including Moodle LMS, using APIs, SSO, and modern authentication protocols
  • Help shape the platform architecture, ensuring reliability, security, and a seamless user experience
  • Work closely with Product and Design teams to deliver impactful new functionality
  • Champion engineering best practices through code reviews, technical collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges across the application stack
  • Create clear documentation and contribute to successful project delivery

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience building modern web applications
  • Strong React and TypeScript development skills
  • Moodle or Learning Management System experience is ideal
  • Experience developing secure, customer-facing platforms
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API development
  • Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
