Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is an MVP/beta build, so we're looking for someone comfortable building pragmatically and iteratively while maintaining a codebase that can continue developing into the commercial product.

Who we're looking for

We're particularly interested in developers with strong experience delivering cross-platform mobile products alongside modern web/backend applications.

Relevant experience might include:

  • React Native / Expo or equivalent cross-platform technologies
  • React / TypeScript or comparable modern frontend development
  • API integrations
  • Authentication and user accounts
  • Mobile notifications
  • Media/content-driven applications
  • SaaS or community platforms
  • Physical-device iOS and Android testing
  • App-store build and deployment processes
  • Git-based collaborative development
  • Automated testing

Experience in HealthTech, MedTech, regulated environments, professional learning, SaaS or AI-enabled products would be valuable but is not essential.

Our current working technology proposal includes React Native/Expo alongside Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL and AWS. This is indicative rather than mandated, and we welcome technically justified alternatives.

How we work

We're looking for someone collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable working as part of a small startup team.

You'll be working from established product direction and Figma designs, but we expect the detail to evolve as the application is built and tested.

We want regular communication and working versions shared for feedback rather than long development periods without review.

Contract

Contract / freelance engagement

Approximately 18 targeted development days

  • Expected principally during the main build and integration phases
  • Project runs from September 2026 to 5 March 2027
  • The exact timing of your days can be agreed as part of the delivery plan
  • Fixed-price milestone proposal requested, supported by underlying day assumptions
  • Applicants should also provide a day rate for agreed additional/change-control work
  • UK-based or able to provide services compliantly to a UK company

There may be an opportunity for continued development work following the MVP, subject to performance, funding and mutual agreement.

How to apply

Please send a concise application covering:

  • Relevant experience
  • Examples of web/mobile products you have personally built
  • Your contribution to those products
  • Your preferred cross-platform approach
  • Availability across the project period
  • Proposed commercial approach
  • Any key assumptions or delivery risks
  • Relevant references, where available

Shortlisted applicants will receive further product information and may be invited to discuss the application, mobile architecture and delivery approach.

Application deadline: 5pm, 28 August 2026.

We care much more about what you have built and how you work than polished tender language.
