Contract Full Stack Software Engineer (JavaScript)
Remote | Travel Tech | Outside IR35 | 6-Month Initial Contract | Competitive Day Rate
We're partnered with an innovative travel technology company that's scaling its engineering function and looking for an experienced Full Stack JavaScript Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
You'll be working on customer-facing products that support thousands of users, helping to deliver new features, improve platform performance, and build scalable solutions using a modern JavaScript stack. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced, agile environment.
The Role
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be involved across the full development lifecycle, contributing to both greenfield development and enhancements to existing products.

You'll be:
- Building scalable web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Developing responsive front ends with React
- Creating backend services and REST APIs using Node.js
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
- Contributing to architecture discussions and technical improvements
- Improving application performance, scalability, and reliability
Tech Stack
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- React
- Node.js
- Express or NestJS
- REST APIs
- SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- AWS (or another major cloud platform)
Experience with GraphQL, Kubernetes, or microservices would be beneficial but isn't essential.

About You
You'll ideally have:
- Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer
- Excellent JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge across both frontend and backend development
- Experience working within agile delivery teams
- A proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business
Contract Details
- Initial 6-month contract
- Outside IR35
- Competitive day rate
