Contract Logistics Specialist
As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will oversee comprehensive warehousing operations for our clients. By executing these tasks with accuracy, you will support your team's success and ensure smooth daily operations within warehouses and distribution centers. For instance, you will handle the storage and delivery of sensitive items such as fresh flowers and ingredients to local stores for daily meals and family events. At Kuehne+Nagel, our efforts have a broader impact than we often realize. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Shipping Warehouse Specialist is accountable for managing logistics activities effectively, aligning with the company's service, quality, and cost standards. You will work Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a weekly payment rate of $19.48 per hour. Availability for overtime work may be required as needed.
How you create impact
- Confirm and accept materials into inventory
- Labels and records packages for storage or transportation
- May also involve palletizing and applying shrink-wrap for secure packaging
- Retrieves products or supplies based on the pick sheet instructions
- Verify orders by comparing them with the pull sheets
- Prepare items for shipment by securely boxing them, generating accurate shipping labels, and maintaining comprehensive records of all outgoing deliveries
- Process returned goods, accurately document any damages and discrepancies, and restock the merchandise accordingly
- Ensure your work area remains clean, organized, and orderly at all times
- Provide support in resolving shipping challenges and addressing customer concerns effectively
- Support the consistent maintenance of necessary security standards
- Provide support for conducting cycle count inventories
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, AS 9100/9120 Quality Management Systems and QSHE Management System
- Capacity to maintain standing posture for extended durations
- Overtime and weekend work as required
- Capability to meet the business requirements of the relevant team regarding attendance, overtime, punctuality, and shift scheduling

What we would like you to bring
- Prior experience of at least one year in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal communication abilities
- Capability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Proficiency in operating personal computers and handling materials equipment
- Ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
- Demonstrated fundamental mathematical proficiency equivalent to a high school level
- Technical proficiency with computers

AOG Specialist
The AOG Specialist will be responsible for direct interaction with our customers, proactive customer service, problem solving, customer follow up, and interaction with our sales colleagues. The AOG Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our customers experience is a positive one each and every time they engage with Kuehne + Nagel, as well as documenting and investigating any deviations from the expected level of service provided.
Note that this is a 4 on 4 off position (10:00 - 22:00h)
How You Create Impact
- Pro-actively advise and consult customers to ensure satisfaction
- Monitor customer shipments, provide proactive updates and cover customs activities
- Document, investigate and conduct root cause analysis on deviations
- Manage tasks through Business Process Automation tools (BPA)
- Transfer customer requirements into KN systems for accurate cost control
- Field complaint calls and resolve problems
- Conduct claims management
- Ensure compliance with company, industry and legal standards as well as prepare and support audits

What We Would Like You To Bring
- Experience in freight forwarding or transport planning (airfreight focus) preferred
- Strong customer service orientation and good communication skills
- Ability to understand and execute new processes
- Excellent MS Office knowledge (especially Excel)
- Respect confidentiality and compliance regulations
- Ability to work independently in a team
