Looking for a varied role where you can make a real impact? Join Shropshire Council's Property Services Group as a Contract Maintenance Officer and help manage maintenance and compliance contracts that keep hundreds of Council buildings safe, compliant and operational. You'll work with a skilled and supportive team, develop your expertise and contribute to services that support communities across Shropshire.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join Shropshire Council's Property Services Group (PSG) and play an important role in helping to keep our buildings safe, compliant and operational. PSG supports a diverse property portfolio including schools, offices, libraries, leisure facilities and other public buildings used by communities across Shropshire.
Responsibilities
As Contract Maintenance Officer, you will support the management of a wide range of maintenance and statutory compliance contracts, working with contractors, colleagues and site contacts to ensure essential services are delivered effectively and issues are resolved promptly.

- Support the effective day-to-day management, monitoring and administration of planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance contracts on behalf of the Council and its clients.
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Review service reports and certification.
- Maintain accurate plant and asset records.
- Progress overdue servicing or remedial actions.
- Support the financial administration of contracts through the checking and certification of invoices and quotations.

You will be joining a supportive and experienced team where your attention to detail, communication skills and organisational ability will help improve how maintenance and compliance services are managed, reported and delivered across the Council's property portfolio.
