37-hour working week based at Norwich Crown Point Depot
Hybrid working pattern, giving you a balance of home and office-based work
Preferably are HNC / Degree level qualified with experience in contract management and negotiations
Preferably have engineering and/or train maintenance experience

As Contract Manager, you'll be the key link between Greater Anglia and our maintenance provider, ensuring contract commitments are delivered effectively and consistently. Acting as the primary point of contact for the provider's contract team, you'll provide expert guidance on contract interpretation and application, supporting depot teams to achieve the best outcomes while ensuring compliance and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the maintenance provider consistently delivers against all contractual obligations.
- Maintaining robust processes to analyse, record and report on key contract deliverables and performance measures.
- Reviewing and challenging supplier requests, responding fairly and reasonably while ensuring contractual compliance.
- Negotiating, managing, and implementing contract variations.
- Leading and chairing contract review meetings with key stakeholders.
- Supporting the management of secondary agreements as required.
- Collating and reviewing contract KPIs, working collaboratively with internal and external teams.
- Acting as the contractual representative for Greater Anglia.
- Producing regular internal reports and performance updates.
- Identifying opportunities to drive business improvement and add value.
- Managing costs effectively and continuously seeking best-value solutions.
- Collating and reviewing financial reports to support informed decision-making.
- Travelling across the Greater Anglia network as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrable experience managing commercial or service contracts within a regulated or operational environment.
- An understanding of contract management principles, including contract compliance, performance monitoring, and contract variations.
- Experience of managing supplier relationships and holding providers accountable against contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Experience chairing meetings and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Financially and commercially aware, with experience reviewing budgets, costs and financial reports.
- Foster a friendly and approachable demeanour while effectively communicating through written and verbal channels.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to drive ongoing value for Greater Anglia.
- Have team spirit and bring their unique self to strengthen our team and foster a positive work environment.
- Manage multiple work streams and deadlines while remaining calm under pressure, adeptly handling situations with a proactive “can-do” attitude.
- Possess effective negotiation skills.
- Demonstrate astute contractual and commercial awareness.
