Job Introduction
The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for a Contract Manager who will be responsible for the safe delivery of cleaning services to Avanti West Coast. The focus will be ensuring that all stations or assets are cleaned to the agreed standards, using the resources allocated, within the agreed time scales. Thus, allowing the West Midlands Train to delight the client in a safe and clean environment.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
- Ensure all accident and incidents are reported and investigated in accordance with Carlisle’s processes and procedures
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in working order and is PAC tested annually
- Ensure production of period reports in the agreed format and submitted by the agreed date
- Ensure that a Client Temp Check is completed each month.
- Ensure that Work-IT audits (Quality) are completed in accordance with the specified program agreed with the client.
- Ensure all customer complaints are captured, documented and satisfactory resolved, with detailed communication to all the interested parties.
- Attend monthly review meeting with key stakeholder.
- Ensure the delivery of service to a standard that meets the specified contractual requirements – delivery made through effective deployment and management of resources.
- Achieves budget and manages areas of responsibilities to ensure the contract meets budget.
- Financial management of the contract using the company’s processes.
- Develop effective relationships, with the client to ensure service delivery meets their aspirations.
- Ensures effective performance management is applied - developing staff with potential, addressing poor performance issues in order to improve performance.
- Ensure delivery of a prompt and adequate response to incidents at customer’s premises in line with Company procedures and contractual requirements.
- Ensure full understanding of escalation procedures for incidents at customer premises to meet obligations under the contract and/or legislation. i.e. Health & Safety at work act.
- Oversee completion of all training modules, ensuring that the area managers competently assess all employees within agreed timescales.
- Conduct 1-2-1 with the direct reports on a monthly basis using the approved Carlisle documentation.
- Ensure the practices of Continuous Improvement and recognition are in place, encourage 100% use of the standard operating procedures and associated procedures.
- Understand and implement all operational/control procedures specified with Carlisle Cleanings ISO 9000 Quality Manuals.
- To continually liaise with the finance department to ensure prompt and accurate invoicing of all work undertaken.
- Manage the financial resources which are allocated in accordance with the agreed budget.

- Must be experience in cleaning and running high level contracts
- Flexible to travel and working hours.
- Strong commercial business acumen
- Financial Awareness that enables full understanding and working with budget, P&L
- Passionate in ensuring service delivery
- Inspirational leader and strong motivator
- Excellent interpersonal skills and works collaboratively as a member of the senior management team
